FOCOSFoundation of Orthopedics and Complex Spine (FOCOS) has been helping the world to stand tall since 1998. We provide affordable quality medical care to adult and pediatric patients in underserved communities throughout Africa and the Caribbean. Specializing in orthopedic care, we offer relief and life saving treatment to patients suffering from scoliosis, joint pain, and other skeletal disorders that are often left untreated in third world countries.

Gulf Coast FundThe Gulf Coast Fund is a collaborative, pooled fund created weeks after Hurricane Katrina and housed at Rockefeller Philanthropy Advisors. The Fund is committed to supporting work that focuses on environment, social justice, human rights, and rebuilding civil society capacity in the region to ensure that communities are healthy, equitable, and sustainable. At its core is an “Advisory Group” of two dozen leading policy advocates, community activists and grassroots organizers from Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama and Texas representing a broad swath of constituencies, geographies and issues. These Advisors play a central role in informing the Fund’s grantmaking priorities and policies, and in directing the Fund’s resources.

Hope Heart InstituteThe mission of the Hope Heart Institute is serving humanity through cardiovascular research and education. We are dedicated to preventing and treating heart and blood vessel disease, and to improving the physical, emotional and spiritual quality of life for all at risk of - or affected by - cardiovascular disease.

JDRFJDRF was founded in 1970 by the parents of children with type 1 diabetes (T1D) with one powerful mission: to find a cure for diabetes and its complications through the support of research. That remains JDRF’s constant focus today. JDRF-funded research has led to tremendous advances in the understanding and treatment of T1D. JDRF continues to push forward the development of technologies to improve the lives of people with T1D, along with advancing therapeutics to cure the disease.

Kristin Brooks Hope CenterKristin Brooks Hope Center is a 501 c 3 public benefit non profit dedicated to preventing suicide. We are the founders of 1-800-SUICIDE and the National Hopeline Network, which more than 6 million people have called over the last 14 years. In 2011 we launched the worlds first virtual crisis center in partnership with Postsecret and To Write Love On Her Arms. This year with support from the Southern Poverty Law Center and Teaching Tolerance, The Alive Mental Health Fair and Anti-Bullying Tour launched as the first traveling tour in the world aimed at preventing bullying. The Alive! Anti-Bullying Tour is designed to appeal to High School and Middle School students in communities across the United States.

Lung Cancer Research FoundationThe mission of the Lung Cancer Research Foundation is to support national research studies and activities focused on developing innovative strategies for better treatments, screening, and prevention of all cancers of the lung. New knowledge gained by funding scientific and clinical research initiatives will lead to more positive outcomes and improved quality of life for all lung cancer patients. Bringing experience, insight, and commitment to the cause, the Lung Cancer Research Foundation seeks to give lung cancer a stronger voice, to help advance the pace of research, and to serve those whose lives have been affected by this life-threatening cancer.

No BullyNo Bully’s mission is to bring innovative, sustainable solutions to student bullying, harassment and violence in schools. We envision schools where kindness triumphs over prejudice and intolerance.

The United States has some of the highest levels of student bullying and conflict of any industrialized nation worldwide. Each day thousands of students in the USA refuse to go to school because they dread the physical and verbal aggression of their peers, and the isolation that comes from being the target of rumors and cyber-bullying.

No Bully partners with schools and school districts to implement a Bullying Response System designed to match the intensity or severity of any incident of bullying or harassment. We developed this non-punitive system through our work in hundreds of schools. Doctoral research shows that Solution Team resolves student bullying in over 80% of the cases and this holds true three months later.

One Day’s WagesOne Day’s Wages (ODW) is a grassroots movement of people, stories, and actions to alleviate extreme global poverty. ODW promotes awareness, invites simple giving, and supports sustainable relief through partnerships, especially with smaller organizations in developing regions. Our vision is to change global issues of injustice affecting millions of people, regardless of race, culture, sex, age, or religion.

The Pablove FoundationThe mission of The Pablove Foundation is to fund pediatric cancer research and advances in treatment, educate and empower cancer families, and improve the quality of life for children living with cancer through hospital play, music and arts programs.

Reef CheckFounded in 1996, the Reef Check Foundation is a California based 501(c)3 non-profit organization dedicated to the conservation of the world’s reef ecosystems. Reef Check’s mission is to empower local communities to protect and rehabilitate reefs worldwide. It does so through grassroots research, conservation, and education. Reef Check is the official community-based monitoring program of the United Nations and recognition has included the prestigious U.S. Coral Reef Task Force Award. With an incredibly lean staff of 7 full time employees, Reef Check coordinates coral reef monitoring with thousands of volunteers in over 90 countries around the world and is one of the most important tools for the protection and conservation of reefs worldwide.

Rosie’s Place provides a safe and nurturing environment that helps poor and homeless women maintain their dignity, seek opportunity and find security in their lives. Rosie’s Place has evolved from providing meals and shelter to creating permanent solutions through advocacy, education and affordable housing. Rosie’s Place relies solely on the generous support of individuals, foundations and corporations and does not accept any city, state or federal funding.
